Pender Island Waterfront Real Estate Agents Pender Island or "the Penders" are the second most populous of the southern Gulf Islands (after Salt Spring) with around 2,000 inhabitants. Usually referred to as one island, there are actually two islands (North and South) joined by a short bridge.
