Last year’s production was 550 cattle at the Main Place, 450 at Mountain House and 200 at the Home Place plus 55 bulls.

After October, 200 to 300 head would normally stay over the Winter months. Water supply for these cattle is by natural springs.

Almost 1,400 acres are under irrigation using a pump and a channel runoff flood irrigation system to service the cattle, hayfields and the residences. 12 water licenses ensure ample water for stock and domestic consumption. This includes one creek, two reservoirs, Spokin Lake water rights, 7 wells and natural springs.

Beside the huge hayfields, the ranch offers a woodlot with the long term lease and approximately 120,000 Cu. M of merchantable fir and spruce timber on the private land. There are three small lakes on the ranch and possible manure-soil producing pit. The ranch headquarters are situated on high bench lands, offering a panoramic vista overlooking the Borland valley. The property is owned by two partners / brothers. There are two homes and two guest/worker houses. The houses are unique, bright, functional and delightful; it is no wonder the owners spend as much time as they can at the ranch.

Ranch improvements include barns, corrals, sheds and loading chutes. 153 Mile Ranch is an outstanding operating ranch perfect for one to three full time ranchers.

With easy access to Williams Lake, only 30 minutes from the airport with 3 flights a day to Vancouver, it is an easy commute.
