The village at Miner's bay has always been busy due to the steady stream of boat traffic passing through Active Pass. The old village of Miner's bay still bustles with activity and the Fall Fair is still being held at the old Agricultural hall. With several restaurants, grocery and hardware stores, Mayne Island offers many services to its residents and offers great cycling, parks and beaches. Easily accessed by direct ferry to Vancouver or Victoria and connected to 4 other Islands, Mayne Island is the centre of the Southern Gulf Islands.
